As an investigator/heir finder, and pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, our company conducts computer searches using the State Controller’s Office database in searching for people who are owed money by the California State Controller. Before we contact you, we had already conducted extensive research in locating and confirming the identity of the rightful owner of the unclaimed property. We will not contact the owner, unless we believe that you are entitled to these funds and therefore must obtain permission from you to begin the process.

News & Publications

California’s Unclaimed Property Law requires banks, insurance companies, corporations, and certain other entities to report and submit their customers’ property to the State Controller’s Office when there has been no activity for a period (generally three years). Common types of unclaimed property include bank accounts, stocks, bonds, uncashed checks, insurance benefits, wages, and much more.

We work on a contingency fee basis. We only get paid a percentage of the amount after you receive your money. There are absolutely no upfront fees. Once your claim has been successfully processed, the State Controllers Office will issue a check directly to you. Subsequently, they will also issue a separate check to our office which entails a one time 10% fee of the total amount of monies recovered per agreement.
